X1-Lesson-1-

(Kurt and Jessica are heading to a family reunion at Kurt’s parents’ home.)

Kurt: Still the same. This is the neighborhood I grew up in.
Jessica: Wow! It is really pretty, and quiet.
Kurt: Right. Over there is the recreation center that I used to go to.
Jessica: What did you used to do there?
Kurt: I used to swim and play hockey with my cousins.
Jessica: What are your cousins like?
Kurt: They are really funny and friendly, but one of them is pretty snobby. You will meet them soon.
Jessica: Look! Someone is waving at you from across the street. Who is he?
Kurt: (Waves back.) That’s my cousin Roy. He’s the most successful person in my family.
Jessica: Oh yeah! He’s the one you’ve mentioned a lot, isn’t he?
Kurt: That’s right. Do you see the shiny white BMW Z4 parked in front of that nice house?
Jessica: Yes. Is it his?
Kurt: You bet. Actually, it’s just one of his large car collection.
